Synopsis:
Nests throughout the state in riparian woods, open deciduous or
mixed forest, and in towns. More localized in
southeastern Oregon. Most notable are the records from southern Harney
and Malheur Counties.

Easy to spot and fairly easy to confirm nesting.
Challenge:
Determine if this species breeds more widely than shown within
the northern Siskiyou Mountains, the southern
Cascades, and the Columbia Basin (Wasco, Sherman, Gilliam Counties).
Also refine knowledge of its breeding distribution
within eastern Klamath, western Deschutes, and northern Harney Counties.
